How to perform it

  1. Set a rope attachment at upper-chest to face height and grip it with thumbs back.
  2. Step back to create tension and stand tall with a braced core.
  3. Pull the rope toward your face, separating the ends and driving the elbows high and back.
  4. Pause briefly with hands beside your ears, then return under control.

Common mistakes

  • Going too heavy and turning it into a high row with the lats.
  • Letting the elbows drop so it stops hitting the rear delts.
  • Jerking the weight instead of controlling both directions.

Sets & reps

3-4 sets of 12-20 reps.
